Projects and Ventures
Projects and Ventures evolved out of Wadsworth and Dick Ltd a Nelson Real Estate office that had 5 offices and over 70 sales people. Graeme Dick, the Principal, saw the need and potential for land to be developed through syndicated property ownership and by consulting to various land owners wishing to subdivide and develop their properties.
One of the most notable was the Lake Hood development in Ashburton, where land was developed in to 80 hectares of lake, with an 8 lane international rowing course alongside a national water ski venue and a 150 section subdivision.
Some of Projects and Ventures current developments in the Nelson area include subdivisions in and around the greater Nelson Region, Tasman, Richmond, Stoke, Atawhai, Marahau and Pohara.
Current projects include the Richmond West development area, which has seen residential, light industrial and business park zonings created, with residential development off Lower Queen St now well underway.
Projects and Ventures manage developments for numerous land owning syndicates in this area, and are Consultants and Managers to several Private and Corporate landowners for ongoing and future residential developments.
Solitaire Developments at Marsden Heights and Ngawhatu Valley are well underway, and a rural residential development off Harley Road near Tasman is also underway, with Stage 1 being sold out and work on the next stage due for completion in early 2019.
We have ongoing subdivisions in the Richmond West area, off Lower Queen St, as well as further development beginning in Marahau, and Pohara in Golden Bay.

Graeme Dick
A Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand, Graeme has been involved in Real Estate since 1975. The former Principal of First National Wadsworth and Dick Group Ltd, Graeme has extensive experience in developing and syndicating land development projects across Commercial, Industrial and Residential projects. With involvement in over 40 successful subdivisions Graeme’s knowledge and experience is invaluable.
Graeme is a keen runner and spends his weekends with his grandchildren.
John Davies
John has been involved in Real Estate and Property Development for over 30 years. John and Graeme have been business partners since 1982 and John has been involved in numerous subdivisions and property syndicates during that time and his experience ensures that any project is maximised to its fullest potential.
John is a very keen tramper and traveller having trekked all over the world. When he’s not in the mountains, he’s chasing a little white ball around the golf course.
Christian Le Gros
The youngest and latest addition to the team, Christian has been involved with Projects and Ventures for the last 4 years. Previous work as a Planner with Local Body Councils gives Christian a good overview of property development and subdivision from the differing points of view that can be involved. A keen eye for opportunity and maximising the potential of a property are skills that serve him well in property development.
Outside of property development, Christian is involved in the wine industry, he and wife Steph have 3 young kids, and when he finds time he’s either on the cricket field or relaxing at the family bach.
