Projects and Ventures evolved out of Wadsworth and Dick Ltd a Nelson Real Estate office that had 5 offices and over 70 salespeople. Graeme Dick, the Principal, saw the need and potential for land to be developed through syndicated property ownership and by consulting to various landowners wishing to subdivide and develop their properties.
One of the most notable was the Lake Hood development in Ashburton, where land was developed in to 80 hectares of lake, with an 8 lane international rowing course alongside a national water ski venue and a 150 section subdivision.
Partnering with John Davies some 30 years ago, Projects and Ventures have successfully completed dozens of developments, most recently the development of over 550 sections in Richmond’s Berryfields, Newhaven Crescent in Marahau, Springlea in Atawhai along with many other thriving neighbourhoods in the wider Nelson region.
Christian Le Gros joined the Projects and Ventures team in 2015 and along with Graeme and John they have several developments currently under construction, several under planning and design, and are always looking for new opportunities.
Christian has worked as a Planner with Local Authorities and privately, is a qualified and experienced Viticulturalist and Winemaker and has Real Estate qualifications, all providing a wide range of skills and an eye for detail and opportunity.
Outside of property development, Christian and his wife Steph have 3 kids and he can be found either coaching or supporting them on the sideline of their numerous sporting endeavours. Christian keeps his hand in the wine industry, growing grapes, and along with his family wider family is involved in native tree regeneration projects.

Graeme Dick
A Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand, Graeme has been involved in Real Estate since 1975. The former Principal of First National Wadsworth and Dick Group Ltd, Graeme has extensive experience in developing and syndicating land development projects across Commercial, Industrial and Residential projects. With involvement in over 40 successful subdivisions Graeme’s knowledge and experience is invaluable.
Graeme is now based in Christchurch to be near his Children and Grandchildren, but is in Nelson each week for a couple of days.
John Davies
John has been involved in Real Estate and Property Development for over 30 years. John and Graeme have been business partners since 1982 and John has been involved in numerous subdivisions and property syndicates during that time and his experience ensures that any project is maximised to its fullest potential.
John is a very keen tramper and traveller having trekked all over the world. When he’s not in the mountains or exploring the world, he’s chasing a little white ball around the golf course.
